Solar & Storage Development. Transaction Advisory. Romania & CEE.
Origination. Development. Permitting. Transactions and closing from first opportunity to exit.
Origination. Development. Permitting. Transactions and closing from first opportunity to exit.
SolarCAP Investments is a Bucharest-based advisory and project development platform active across Romania and the CEE region. We originate, develop, and structure renewable energy projects, and support international investors across the full transaction lifecycle.
What we do
We work on two parallel tracks that reinforce each other.
On the development side, we build solar and storage projects from the ground up, covering land, grid access, permitting, structuring, and exit. We develop hybrid solar and BESS projects and structure them for exit.
On the advisory side, we support investors and developers entering Romania with everything required to move from opportunity to closing: origination, grid and land strategy, permitting, valuation, due diligence, SPV structuring, route-to-market design, and transaction execution.
For acquisitions and divestments, we provide complete buy-side and sell-side support through negotiation and closing.
We engage directly with ANRE, Transelectrica, and public authorities. We work through the points where most transactions stall.
Who leads the work
Daniel Pintilie brings over 20 years of direct market experience across solar, wind, storage, and conventional power. He has held senior roles at Statkraft, Enel, OMV Petrom, and CWP Global, and served on the board of the Romanian Association of Electricity Suppliers. He has contributed to over 1,000 MW developed and transacted.
On the entrepreneurial side, he raised venture capital for an EV charging company recognised as Romania's Energy Startup of the Year, and developed and exited a greenfield solar project from inception to ownership transfer.
He holds a Law degree and an MBA. Based in Bucharest.

Most advisors understand the market from the outside. I operate from inside it.
I develop my own projects, which means I carry the same risks, face the same institutions, and navigate the same bottlenecks as my clients. That direct exposure, running in parallel with advisory work, produces a quality of judgment that desk-based analysis cannot match.
Over 20 years, I have worked across every layer of the Romanian energy system: regulation, grid infrastructure, project development, power markets, and transactions. I have held senior roles in major international energy groups and engaged directly with ANRE, Transelectrica, and government authorities on commercial and policy matters.
That combination is what I bring to each mandate. Not theory. Pattern recognition built in the field.
