ABOUT ME

DANIEL PINTILIE

I work as a senior local partner for investors, companies, and public institutions making capital-intensive decisions in regulated energy markets.

My role is to turn policy, regulation, and capital into actions that hold up in practice, from early assessment through execution. I focus on decisions that are realistic, financeable, and deliverable on the ground.

I support strategy, project development, construction, transactions, and stakeholder engagement. This includes greenfield renewable projects from concept to ready-to-build, EPC selection and delivery oversight, renewable M&A support, and public affairs where business objectives intersect with institutional reality.

Over the past 20 years, I have overseen more than 1,000 MW of solar, wind, and storage projects and held senior roles in large international energy groups. I also served on the board of Romania’s main electricity suppliers association.

As an entrepreneur, I raised venture capital for an EV charging startup later named Energy Startup of the Year and developed and sold a greenfield solar project, managing the full cycle from concept to exit.

I remain actively engaged in industry and public dialogue, working with policymakers and market actors to support a competitive, executable energy transition. I am based in Bucharest and work across Romania and Southeast Europe.
