ABOUT ME

DANIEL PINTILIE

I bring over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, combining corporate, entrepreneurial, and advisory work across renewables, policy, markets, and strategic development. I hold a Law degree and an MBA.

As an independent advisor and entrepreneur, I work with investors, companies, and public institutions to translate capital, regulation, and policy into clear decisions. I focus on making complex rules practical and moving from analysis to execution with clarity.

I develop greenfield renewable projects from concept to ready-to-build, handling permitting, grid access, and policy risk. During construction, I manage EPC selection, contract negotiation, and project oversight to secure bankable, on-time delivery.

I advise on communication, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement, helping clients align business objectives with institutional and public expectations.

I also support renewable M&A work, providing transaction guidance, due diligence, and brokerage support for both acquisitions and exits.

In my corporate career, I oversaw more than 1,000 MW of solar, wind, and storage development and held senior positions with Statkraft, Enel, and OMV Petrom. I also served on the board of AFEER, Romania’s main electricity suppliers association.

As an entrepreneur, I raised venture capital to build an EV charging startup named Romania’s Energy Startup of the Year (2020), and later developed and sold a greenfield solar project, completing the full cycle from concept to exit.

My work is driven by the view that clean energy and technology shape real progress. I remain active in public and industry dialogue, working with policymakers and market leaders to support a transparent and competitive energy market. Based in Bucharest, Romania.
